Call for Workshop Proposals

IEEE International Conference on Embedded and Ubiquitous Computing (IEEE EUC)

In conjunction with The 22nd IEEE International Conference on Embedded and Ubiquitous Computing (IEEE EUC 2024), we invite the submission of high-quality workshop proposals. The conference will be held on 17-21 December 2024, Sanya, Hainan, China.

Overview: Workshops at IEEE EUC 2024 will provide a forum for presenting novel ideas in a less formal and possibly more focused way than the conference itself. As such, they offer a good opportunity for young researchers to present their work and to obtain feedback from an interested community. Workshop topics of interest include, but are not limited to, various aspects of embedded and ubiquitous computing systems such as Advances in Internet of Things (IoT) Devices and Applications, Wearable Computing and Smart Gadgets, Edge and Fog Computing Architectures, Embedded Systems Security, Machine Learning Models for Embedded and Ubiquitous Systems, Energy Harvesting and Power Management Techniques, Smart Cities and Urban Computing, Embedded Software and Toolchains, Interoperability and Standards in Ubiquitous Computing, and Context-Aware Computing and Applications.

Workshop Proposal Submission: Proposals for workshops should be a maximum of three pages in length and must include the following:

1. Workshop Title - A concise and descriptive title.
2. Organizers and Affiliations - Names, affiliations, and contact information of the workshop organizers.
3. Abstract (200-300 words) - A summary of the theme and scope of the workshop including its goals and why the topic is of particular interest at this time.
4. Workshop Format - The intended format of the workshop, including a strategy to facilitate lively discussions and engagement among participants (e.g., panel discussions, breakout sessions, invited talks, paper presentations).
5. Target Audience - Anticipated audience and the expected number of participants.
6. Call for Papers - Draft Call for Papers, including workshop’s main topics.
7. Duration - Half-day or full-day.
8. Previous Editions (if any) - Information about previous editions of the workshop (e.g., number of submissions, number of attendees).
